SandFest is the largest sandcastle building contest in the US. People the world over converge on our small port town of 4,000 residents, swelling our short-term population to well over 65,000 folks. Port Aransas welcomes well over 1 million visitors all year including retirees we affectionately call “winter Texans”. Of course, everyone comes from Spring Break to August to enjoy the Beaches, Restaurants, and our excellent fisheries. We have the cleanest fisheries on the Texas Gulf Coast. We have 6 Marinas and plenty of guided fishing.
